<h1>Physicians of Maui</h1>
<p>The mission of the PHYSICIANS of MAUI is to provide the BEST possible healthcare for Maui, our home. To achieve this, the genius of us all must stand together and speak with one voice. This voice, the will of the medical community,is the way to change. To effect change, we must be actively engaged in self-education, community education and the political issues of our times. This day we vow to ourselves and to our fellow Physicians:</p>
<p>We will keep our knowledge of medicine up-to-date through personal readings
and conferences. We will participate in the education of our fellow physicians
by sharing our knowledge. We will initiate and actively participate in the Physicians
of Maui Medical Grand Rounds. We will help make these sessions one of the premier
medical educational opportunities on Maui. <br>
We will devote time to health education in each community on Maui at regular
intervals. By empowering our community with health knowledge we will enlist
them as partners who can assist us as we care for them. We will take full advantage
of current events in the world and on Maui to speak out on health-related issues.<br>
We will actively engage government, hospital(s) and business leaders when their
decisions impact healthcare on Maui. We will give our support in matters that
are positive for Maui and the medical community. We will stand in opposition
in matters that are harmful to Maui and the medical community. </p>
<h1 class="Verdanarubrikbig">Maui physicians are welcome to join the "PHYSICIANS
of MAUI" website.</h1>
<p class="Verdananormalbig">The "Physicians of Maui" website will benefit
patients, physicians, clinics and the community of Maui. The site is built upon
a database where Maui's physicians can present themselves with texts, photo,
contact information, opening hours, links to e-mail and personal website etc.
</p>
<p class="Verdananormalbig">Patients can easily search, find and get in contact
with any of the included physicians. The search engine is designed to be as
convenient and flexible as possible to fit everybody's needs. For example, patients
can search on Physicians name, Clinic name or Area. Patients can also search
on Specialty to find the type of doctor one needs. Yet another convenient feature
is the possibility to search on Symptom or Disease.</p>
<p class="Verdananormalbig">Maui residents can take part of the latest information
and news from their family doctor and can easily get in contact with any of
Maui's specialists. Visitors can easily find and communicate with the doctor
they need before, during and even after their Maui visit. </p>
<p class="Verdananormalbig">There is also a "News/Events" section where
physicians and patients can read the latest news and information about events
etc. Once logged in, physicians can add their own notes to the "News/Events"
section.</p>
<p class="Verdananormalbig">Other important and useful features are the "Learning
Center", "Health Resources" and "Video" sections.</p>

<p class="Verdananormalbig">Once registered, you will receive your own login information
(Username and Password). When logged in, you will have access to your personal
pages and several useful features such as:</p>
<p>Edit your information in the physicians database as often as necessasy - it
is very easy to do. </p>
<p>Add searchable words (symptoms and diseases).</p>
<p>Add, edit and delete notes in the "News/Events" database.</p>
<p>Send e-mails to all of the included physicians ot once.</p>

boundaries striving to elevate healthcare on Maui to a higher standard of excellence.
This instrument emerged as a common medium to facilitate communication, education
and kinship among ourselves and with the larger Maui community.

will have access to a searchable database of the physicians of Maui as well
as a listing of available health-related resources on the island. </span></p>

be able to easily find and communicate with a Maui physician before, during
and after their Maui visit. </span></p>
